Northern Tier Chamber of Commerce to Host Special Dinner

The Champlain Telephone Company has been and still is an active member of the Northern Tier Chamber of Commerce. The Chamber has taken part in many community events.  Past events have been sponsoring and organizing the annual winter carnival and the Rouses Point Circus.  This summer, the Chamber of Commerce has taken on a new event. It is a celebration dinner for the community's involvement in the Battle of Plattsburgh.  They will be sponsoring "The British Invasion Dinner" on September 7th at the Rouses Point Recreation Center.  "This is an event we are proud to be a part of," says Pam Damour, a Chamber board member.  "We want the community to know just how important our area was during this crucial time in our history."

Cocktails start at 6:00 pm with dinner beginning at 6:30 pm and is open to every one of all ages.  There will be nonstop entertainment from 6:00 pm to 10:00 pm.  There was a poetry contest held at all of the local schools and the winners will be announced and awards will be given at this date.  Everyone is encouraged to wear a period costume.  If not, dinner attire is requested. This dinner shows not only how important the Rouses Point area was in this battle but that the Northern Tier Chamber of Commerce is still around to serve you, the people.

Add Convenience to Your Phone...Tame Those Unwanted Calls

Have you ever had an unwanted call appear as a "Private" call on your Caller ID display?  When you subscribe to Unidentified Call Rejection you prevent "Private" calls from ringing into your home.  Simply dial *77 and listen for the tone confirming that the feature has been activated.  Once you have activated the feature, calls will automatically be forwarded to an announcement indicating that the party called does not accept private calls.  Unidentified Call Rejection will help reduce solicitation calls along with increased security of your phone line.  Unidentified Call Rejection is only $1.50 per month.

In addition to Unidentified Call Rejection, you can use Call Screening.  Call Screening allows you to create a list of phone numbers you do not wish to receive calls from.  Press *60 to activate and listen to the voice instructions to add phone numbers that you do not wish to receive calls from.  Call Screening is only $1.00 per month.

Call the Customer Service Department today to sign up at 298.2411.  When you sign up for both Call Rejection and Call Screening for $2.50 per month we will waive the connection charge. As an added bonus sign up for Caller ID Deluxe at the same time and get a Caller ID box for FREE!

Kudos!

Kudos to Craig Hicks!  Recently, we received a letter of excellence from a CTC subscriber Lisa Getty.  After Mr. And Mrs. Getty had some problems on their line and their DSL, Craig responded efficiently and professionally.  Lisa explains, "We had never had DSL before, so it was with excitement and eagerness that we called The Champlain Telephone Company to order the installation of DSL for our computer. We are very pleased that Craig went over and above the call of duty for us.  He followed through, and remained courteous and conscientious throughout our ordeal."

Thank you for sharing Lisa.  We are proud of Craig and all of our CTC employees.  We enjoy sharing letters of customer satisfaction with our customers.
